TRAVEL TIPS:
Due to recent events and their impact on travel, there are many questions surrounding rules and regulations, both domestic and international. We hope these tips will help you in your travels:
Check-in and Security:
- Please allow for 1.5 — 2 hours for domestic flight check-in and security at the airport, and 2 — 3 hours for international flight check-in and security.
- Curbside check-in is available at some airports; otherwise, it will be necessary to check in at the ticket counter. Check-in at the gate is prohibited.
- Self check-in stations are available at some airports. Please check with your local airport prior to departure.
Documentation needed for Domestic Flights:
- Valid photo ID (drivers license or passport)
- E-ticket with a copy of the ticket receipt
Documentation needed for International Flights:
- Valid passport and visa, if applicable.
- E-ticket with a copy of the ticket receipt
ONLY TICKETED PASSENGERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE GATE AREA.
Luggage Restrictions:
Please check with your local airport prior to departure should you have any questions. Passengers should expect a higher level of security and enforcement of carry-on luggage policies. Carry-on items will be scrutinized and possibly hand-checked by security.
Airport Security:
Any item that may be used as a weapon cannot be carried aboard the aircraft. Air travelers may now carry liquids, gels and aerosols in their carry-on bag when going through security checkpoints, providing they follow the following regulations:
- All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
- All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
- Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.
If you would like additional information, please visit www.tsa.gov.
Parking Restrictions:
Some parking areas at your local airport may no longer meet FAA safety requirements. Please check with your local airport prior to your departure.
Baggage Claim Restrictions:
Travelers are advised to ensure they hold onto their baggage claim checks. Individual airports may elect to provide more security in the baggage claim area.
Flight Status:
Travelers are advised to confirm their flights prior to proceeding to the airport. Flight status information is available by calling individual airlines or checking the flight status on individual airline websites.
